Day 10 of Winter Hardware Wonderland
I started on Day 0 and now a final day! I completed my project. Moreover, I learned how to solder and a lot of other Python packages. I also setup my very first Raspberry Pi. It was a lot learning. I didn't have any update today but I would like to recap.
My project is a pixel art frame with LEDs that can display image into led. It can also
Display slope intercept form
Show current playing Spotify Song cover
Display the pixel art that is drawn on
Pixel Art Editor.
I have plans to add more functions too.
However it was a lot fun!
Day 9 of Winter Hardware wonderland
I finished my project yesterday. However when I saw Spider-Man mask on the led matrix panel, I got an idea to make a spider man eyes blink. I will try to make it in the future.
Day 8 of WHW
Now, RGB matrix panel can display current playing Spotify song cover.
Day 7 of Winter Hardware Wonderland
I learned how to use Spotify api using Python wrapper Spotipy . Day 8 plan: display currently playing song cover art on matrix panel.
Day 6 of Winter Hardware Wonderland:
Updated bugs for backend server and a little bit of Frontend code.
Didn't have any pic today. These pics are taken
previous days .
Day 5 of Winter Hardware Wonderland:
I set up a flask server to use with Frontend. Now led matrix can display exactly as Pixel Art editor.
Day 4 of Winter Hardware Wonderland:
I learned how to create a pixel art editor with JS from the Medium article. Then I make some design changes and add more features to deal with the backend server. Tomorrow Plan: Build a backend server using flask and display leds as a change in the frontend occurs.
Day 3 of hardware wonderland:
Setup hardware and tried using rpi-rgb-led-matrix library. Also created a Python script to display slope intercept form on the matrix panel.
Day 2 of hardware wonderland:
Installed raspberry pi os to pi zero along with headless setup. ssh into pi and started installing packages.
Day 1: Started learning some soldering for Pixel Box. Ps: Burnt the lid of soldering iron 😬
