Hello, so a project that ive been working on for the past few months is something called Spo(TI)fy. What the project is about is trying to get spotify to (sorta) run on a TI-84 Plus. As of right now it can pause, play, replay, and skip songs (kinda like a poor mans music controller.) The main reason why i started up with this project was more or less about the fact that i absolutely love calculators. I was inspired by the chromalock chatgpt on a calculator video but I was thinking in a less malicious idea. So for my senior engineering project i decided to start working on this project. Originally while making this project i used TI-BASIC (The standard out of the box programming language) However it was too slow and buggy for me so i decided to switch to z80 Assembly due to its speed. My end goal for this project is to have a raspberry pi zero 2 w and a arduino micro-controller be implemented inside the calculator. The RPI is gonna be the main computer that runs spotify and does all the playback decoding. The arduino is gonna be the middle man between communicating from the calculator and the RPI. In summary the calculator is just gonna be a front end controller for the RPI and ill try to fit a speaker inside of the calculator so you can hear the music out of the box. The end software should be able to allow you to search for songs, play your liked songs, connect to wifi, be able to connect to bluetooth speakers, and have a new aux port that connects directly to the RPI in place of the original 2.5 mm calculator serial port.
