This page contains everything Hack Clubbers got up to over the 2020 Summer of Making. Scrapbook was originally built for the summer and whilst it’s now a permanent feature of the community, we’ve kept this page up as an archive.

@benjjjmin0Got my summer of making stickers! It is so crazy how Hack Club literally sent a few stickers all the way from the other side of the world to Taiwan :D
@ongzhizheng0since everyone's doing it 👀
i pretty much started coding after joining hackclub during SOM :som-7+:
hope i get to do more awesome stuff in 2021 :D
@sampoder0this me my github graph! in late jan, I joined hack club and in April started work on :summer-of-making:
@safin.singh0Rewrote my GPT parser thingy implementation! I got rid of a bunch of useless dependencies that I could manually implement and it now contains zero unsafe code! The table-generating code has been rewritten to be way simpler and requires less allocations and stuff. I've also included comments in a bunch of places in case y'all are curious what certain lines do. Code is on GitHub and you can install it (assuming you have cargo) with cargo install gptinfo!
@thebinitghimire0Hi everyone, finally I received these two products in my hand as a part of Summer of Making. 😃
ESP-WROOM-32 and TTGO T-Display
@isacisboss7180I got my summer of making stickers in the mail with the fancy wax and stuff, but no picture because my camera doesn't want to work. Here's pycharm because I got it today

@msw0Part-time person for sending SoM stickers didn’t show up, so I’m sending a batch today

@jubriloye20160I'm super late but, the first part of my hardware arrived. Thank you to the entire SOM team , especially you @sampoder and of course @roshan you guys are amazing :parrot::parrot:
@sampoder0missed out on getting a fancy domain for your scrapbook? wish you had more custom domains? well your in luck today!
i have create a quick and easy tool that creates a vercel project which acts as a proxy for your scrapbook profile allowing you to set a custom domain.
so how to do it?
1. head to hack.af/scrapbook-domain. follow the steps provided.
2. once you’ve deployed the project you will see a screen saying Congratulations!, wait a couple of seconds and you’ll be redirected to the domains page.
3. Add the domain you’d like using Vercel’s built in instructions
4. Hoorah! You’ve done it!
the setup for this wild midnight project is at: github.com/sampoder/scrapbook-redirect
go crazy with your domains!
@jasonaa0Just got a bunch of stuff for robotics! I'm gonna be testing some sensors and seeing how they work in Java, and and also trying out the new control hub which is pretty neat!
@jubriloye20160Worked on my dotfile manager in a bid to learn go
@jubriloye20160After a few days of procrastination I finally continued work on my monitoring dashboard docker container. Didn't make any code screenshots so here's the flask docs because that's what I'm using
@jessding0today was so tiring. I passed two rounds of interviews, studied for midterms, did a bunch of other work and now I feel like a soggy run over French fry :^) at least everything went really well tho :)))))
@christina6950Wrote a couple new lines of code for the first time, including function and Math.floor
@aaryan0So today I start my JS journey, I hope I can stick through the whole month, I'd post something everyday about it. (1/30)
