@msw6I made some USB hubs! I’ve been working on the design since @hugo.y.hu935 gave an #onboard workshop at Outernet. I made the schematic and PCB layout about a week ago, and the actual fabricated boards arrived yesterday– so quick!
Next step is to test them out, but they look like they’re all connected correctly. After I confirm they work I’ll put a making-of post in #onboard for other people who want to do stuff with USBs
@msw6At #outernet I went to @hugo.y.hu935’s workshop on making a usb hub with PCB design, but unfortunately didn’t finish it. Now that I’m back home I’ve had the time to get started designing the board myself and think I have a working design. Check out more about it in #onboard.
I still want to add art to it, so I’ll do that and then order the boards!
@Khushraj0Day 0 of 10 :winter-hardware-wonderland: (yes I'm late)
I'm so sorry I'm terribly slow on this rn, its mostly because of two reasons:
• A little because I have exams every Monday and Saturday,
• but more because I still need to go and get some minor connectors (to join my motors and ESCs and other things), and those are available pretty far away from where I live
:slowparrot:
Just tested out the arduino and pico so far. Probably going to involve my sprig as a remote. @hugo.y.hu935 has major concerns with the power consumption (you can find his highly efficient and timely method of conveying a message attached).
@rithul0Pirate ship hmm.... name makes it sound illegal but it's completely legal, any questions can be directed to @hugo.y.hu935 (jk)
@zrl0Getting Hack Cube creation down to a science while I've been sick and stuck at home. Making tons of them! DM me with your address if you want one and @hugo.y.hu935 or myself will ship one to you!
@jzaleta2Thanks a lot for the stickers :stickers:@hugo.y.hu935! After their journey on Switzerland ✈️ they're finally here! :tw_tada::quad_parrot:
@MuhammadAhsan-U02CQAEL2060Got shipment decline two times but Finally received it. Thanks @hugo.y.hu935 and HackClub.
HackClub Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan.
@jzaleta2Today was Hack Night, it's the second time I joined, happy to be there this time with @clairebookworm, @rishi, @neel.redkar, @Clawrence040, @hugo.y.hu935, @linus, @ZaynB and the others who also joined later on! Today there is no significant coding progress, but did some other science studies, also planned a bit about building my first website, but I want to finish the club's workshop first, which I'm almost done.
@zfogg0Here's the secret project I mentioned, @hugo.y.hu935! i'm putting together something called....
✨ SAMBOX ✨
The Sambox is little box that has a computer you can SSH into and instantly hack on a project and deploy it, with custom DNS and zero setup :cooll-thumbs:. It has its own wifi router and everything. Just power it up and start hacking; you're good-to-go!
This Sambox will go on a journey. It's going to start by being mailed to a Hack Clubber, who will hack on it for a few days (until the timer runs out‽). We'll include four shipping labels with Sambox so that the first hacker can mail it to the second. The second hacker may change or customize anything on Sambox or contribute something new, and then pass it on to the third after the time runs out.
All hacking will be done OFFLINE on the Sambox :yuh:
The final person to get Sambox will be @sampoder of course, who will plug it into the internet, putting all of the projects online! :yay:
Here's the shopping list. Parts arrive ~tomorrow~ today!
