Hosted a casual post-Kickoff event for FRC today! Had a blast hearing about how different teams approached kickoff, hearing about first experiences coming into FIRST and reminiscing with FIRST veterans! :first::partyparrot:
Maybe looking forward to holding more in the future...!
Riffed on @/alex (in executive dysfunction mode)'s Kaboom.js jam during a 1-hour jam bonanza to make this game where this moon character has to collect lightning bolts and avoid bombs. Had a great bit of fun!
I made a simple todo app using Next.js + Clerk (for authentication) + Supabase + Shadcn-ui in order to learn how to mesh those technologies together!
After following the React tutorial on Tic-Tac-Toe, I decided to make my own Connect Four!
Just finished Part 2 of @/Thomas's amazing 'Make Your Own OS in the Web' jam!
I just met up with Zach at the FRC World Championships in Houston. He is such an amazing guy with a fantastic vision for the future. Meeting with him really showed why I love hackclub and STEM as a whole. Yeah, I'm still in awe.
I made a pretty cool polar graph visualizer based on Peter Maurer's A Rose is A Rose... (www.jstor.org/stable/2322215)
I haven't really done much in HTML/JS/CSS, so I am wondering what I looks off about the website or what I could fix about the layout/look of the website, as I hope to have this be my first ship! Any feedback would be amazing! Thanks!
(A GitHub linko will be added after I get home from school :) )
Had wayy too much fun making the Tree Machine workshop today, check it out!
Workshop Challenge Day 4 - Synth:
For this one, I followed the Synth challenge. I wasn't able to take a picture of it, so here is a picture of a map function I found on stack overflow i needed for several purposes!
Workshop Challenge Day 3: Sound Galaxy
Had tons of fun doing the Sound Galaxy workshop! Though I should probably get back to writing an essay due soon...
Workshop Challenge Day 2: Speak A Color
Just finished the Speak A Color workshop! Why does Gray look darker than Dark Gray? :thonk:
Workshops Challenge Day 1: Splatter Paint
Hey all! I wanted to challenge myself to see if I could do one Hack Club workshop everyday during the month of February to help me learn HTML/CSS/JS. Obviously the fact that today is February 2nd means I've already failed but who cares! Right now my homepage looks pretty bad, something I hope to fix by the end of this challenge. If you want to follow me on my journey, check out #blue-eyes-white-dragon (my channel) and github.com/BaizaOP/hc-workshops where I am putting all of the workshops for this challenge!
I love how the random 🤷 i put in my commit msg (because I wanted to) was actually rendered in GitHub. Who knew!
My solvo for Day 1 of Advent of Code, not too hard :)
