:50days: Day 30/50 Today's AoC was easy and it's cool because yesterday was pure hell, part 2 was just part 1 with extra steps I started working on midnight and publish "old" project (projects starting after midnight start dw), I submitted my ondrive-proxy and i'll submit @Scrappy-Doo & starblog (i won't publish it to #C09JQE8P8EA|) once I finished them I think I'll spend the 12 other days of december trying to optimize my aoc's solutions cuz some are really bad

Day 28: • Did coding for 7h 21m • Corrected the video texture and add some effects and fought for a problem for a long time for uConnect • Didn't do AOC for a long time lol. Day 29: • Do AOC of 2 days • Intigrate GSAP for uConnect for Mobile. Make the mobile part completely with text and other. • If get time so make the character.. • Discover more topics of three.js • Study 1 chapter of math..

:50days: Day 29/50 I'm so proud of my AoC solution omagad, i learned about z3 for solving theorem and it run in ~1.7s (for both parts :yayayayayay:) but it's worst with pypy :3cnukebutreal: It gave me the 3rd place on #C01GF9987SL| leaderboards (based on stars cuz I'm on Europe/Paris so I have 10+ hours on everything :sad-pf: ) I need to finish my website for #C09JQE8P8EA| (starblog) :noo: and I need to write a blogpost about 50days on it. I have 3 days left :(( I did a whole excel spreadsheets just for a math test so I'm sure i'll get all the points

Day 29: • More bugfixing on Milkyway Pets. I need to be testing builds via WINE or my vm because otherwise stuff keeps breaking in production which is not a good look. Worked on Burning Rain in a huddle. • Got one :aoc: from day 6. It's not much but it was fun • Made some drawings for my website! • I downloaded the demo for UNBREAKABLE after Hex4 linked it and wow. I only played for like half an hour, but it felt like style was being injected directly into my veins. That's the level of cool I aspire to have in my games one day. Thinking a lot about the interactions between setting/aesthetics and story. • Also found the phone that I've been missing for most of the year. Turns out my mum put it in the back of a drawer and forgot about it :skulk: There's a few 2FA things it'll be nice to get back, but I don't really have a use for it now (especially as it's missing a power button)

day 29 of 50 days to 2026! Today was a fairly quiet day. I took my C++ midterm and had a good chat with one of my friends on the impact of ai in our society (which also helped solidify some parts of my speech!) and then fixed a few small shell things and made 2 days ago's aoc vis! I also had an interesting idea for a passkey style badge that could be used at a hackathon. I still would like to find some cheap 1 cm by 3.5 cm e-paper displays as I think that would be the perfect badge size but I haven't seen any and especially not any with a smd driver chip.

:50days: Day 28/50 Today's AoC may be the slowest I've ever done... with part 1 only takes 8ms takes up to 20s :skulk: (depending on if I use pypy or python) I installed pypy on my laptop but it's kinda weird cuz sometimes it's faster (part 1) sometimes it's not (part 2) probably because i'm using a library for polygons of part 2 and not on part 1 :shrug3d: I've also started to read an scientific article

days 26 and 27 of 50 days to 2026 Yesterday was a long day of work so I was sadly not able to get much done beyond AoC but I did get a nice visualization done for day 6 as well as a visualization contributed by one of my friends jasper which looks amazing! Over the last couple of days I've been refining a script to take incoming college emails which are mostly spam and filter out just the important ones. So far its working fairly well and I'm happy with how reliable its been. If you want to run your own then the code is over at tangled.org/dunkirk.sh/filter-college-spam

:50days: Day 27/50 I fixed david-leeker cuz it wasn't saving it to a db so I was receiving messages every hours about new sites :hdheavysob: AoC 2025/08 was pure hell, i spent like 1/2 hours just on the first part (spoiler-warning) I ended up using a disjoint-set-union and it was kinda overkilled but atleast I learned something and claimed those 2 stars

:50days: day 27!! new keyboard switches arrived today! took the opportunity to disassemble [glyph], clean it out, and apply some mods (foam + tape!). also spent far too long fighting with QMK, but ~~Claude~~ I eventually figured out how to fix the joysticks! the keyboard sounds super nice now :D tried to fix steam on my machine in preparation for unbeatable's release tomorrow (!!!) - for some reason it randomly started crashing (also gave up on AoC :hs:)

:50days: Day 26/50 I made my own @leeker cuz its channel is private AoC 2025/07 was a bit of a headache but I managed to do it pretty fast I'll try to add david-leeker (that's my leeker bot's name) the functionnality to look at hackclub/dns forks commit so I can detect things faster (crazy unemployment)

:50days: day 26!! didn't get much done today since i'm getting sick (again :hs:) but I did hop on a huddle with @Lucas11 to try and figure out scripting languages for #C08PXNRN7T4|... turns out it's easier said than done LOL after that headed to a birthday party (had some ice cream 😋), got home, and did homework. also looked into how to start AoC day 7 and a secret project :eyes_shaking:

:50days: Day 25/50 I did AoC 06, it was pretty easy I started to make an API for my smart bulb (i called it bubulb)

:50days: day 25! halfway there!! yay!! helped my IRL friend with ~~bypassing school network restrictions~~ fighting against internet censorship, and did a bunch of AoC! completely reworked my day 5 solution so that it doesn't create a dictionary with hundreds of trillions of keys :aware: did day 6 as well! i quite like my solution :3 also picked up some snowboard boots in preparation for going to my local hill next week!

day 25 of 50 days to 2026! We are officially at the half way point! It feels like time has slipped by so quickly this year. We are also halfway through AoC which I'm slightly sad about. I'll miss having my daily problem to obsess over for an hour. I was able to get some work done on the battleship arena and got error logs working! I also fixed a bunch of issues with elo ratings getting out of sync and got a bunch of new testers!

Day 23: • Did coding for 4h 43min • Didn't do AOC • Completely fixed the orientation problem and wrapped up homepage for uconnect (not doing cursor effect for atm) • Didn't wor on visisphere Day 24: • Code for 9 hrs • Make tour for uconnect • Work on visisphere

:50days: day 24 not much today - did some research on some new tools and started on my day 5 AoC solution!

Day 24 of 50 days to 2026! Today I got to compete with my battleship program and I won in my section! I also implemented a server isolation feature for my battleship-arena so that malicious uploads aren't able to do much harm. AoC was pretty fun today and I am quite happy with my solution for the day. I'm getting more and more familiar with typescript's iterator functions with each day. They are really quite fun to play with.

Day 24/50 (almost halfway!): • Did today's AoC and then made a GIF out of the solution because I thought it looked really cool. • Sent out a Steam Licence for #C09EZSEMB16| which was exciting • Did some work on my projects for #C09EZSEMB16| • Practiced Clarinet and Piano which was fun • RSVPed for #C09RKNVS5SB|

Day 22: • Just forgot about AOC, will do! • Did coding for 5 hrs • Got rejected for #C09DLGM81E1| • Got approved for #C0A1GEUM8R3|! Looking for participants and team. • Did some debugging and found out the problem and quick fixed it.. • For complex formulas, relied on LLM, not anymore.. • Didn't study Day 23: • Code for 10 hrs(I promise i will) • will fix out the bug in uconnect today and make the cursor effect and wrp up homepage • Minimize external help for debugging • work on visisphere for atleast 30 min • Do AOC fasttt

yikes I've gotten behind on these updates; here goes... Day 23 of 50 days to 2026 accompanied by the beleaguered days 21 and 22. The last few days have been busy but fun! I wrote and completed a battleship testing program (battleship.dunkirk.sh) for my uni's C++ end of term assignment. I implemented a geicko-2 rating system that ranks submissions over a period of round-robin style matches against the other submissions running 1000 matches for each pair. In early testing it works pretty well! I would love to test it at a large scale with the whole class but we shall see if thats possible. The submission workflow is also all over ssh with the awesome wish library from charmbracelet. I've been consistently working on AoC and made a little website 2025.aoc.dunkirk.sh with visualizations from days I find cool! It currently just has today's day 4 problem since it presented so well graphically. I also have a really pretty cli interface for running my solutions over at the tangled repo tangled.org/@dunkirk.sh/aoc-2025. I've also had to start the hard process of finalizing where I'm going to college next semester and all the fun headaches that come with that. Oh and last but not least I updated my dot files shell scripts to use gum and they look so pretty now!!!!

:50days: day 23 got home and locked in on AoC! managed to submit a better day 3 part 2 solution, and then worked on day 4! it was fun, but i did run into many strange quirks of the python language (who knew doing new_list = old_list means any changes to newlist apply to oldlist???). i did manage to solve it though, and faster than usual! spent the rest of my time on rustlings :3

:50days: day 22! finally packed up the #C09676ZTG8P| stickers! hopefully I can ship them out by friday :D it'll be good to finally get this off my shoulders :hs: spent the rest of the day on AoC - part 1 was easy enough but I couldn't for the life of me get part 2 to work :( maybe if I have free time tomorrow I can try again.

:50days: Day 22/50 Today's AoC was a pain but I managed to do it (i couldn't use my O(n**12) algo :blob-sad: ). It reminded me an exercise we had to do at school (if [0;100] was a string like 0123...100, what would be the biggest suite) I've continued to read Animal Farm I'm at ~1/3 Tomorrow I'll try to add mobile support to starblog

Day 22/50: • Started with #C09EZSEMB16| fulfilments! I helped about 4½ people :D • Did both AoC puzzles today! It was pretty fun :) • Did a bit of work on Burning Rain • Cold-called some businesses in order to try and get a j*b. No businesses have any positions available where I live :heavysob:. It might be good to see if there are any tech-related businesses in the nearest city that have jobs. I'm also gonna update my CV cause it's been a year since I last touched it. • Did a proper workout for the first time since I got sick • Started poking around with Expo. Lowkey unless I find it really confusing I'll just go with Expo+React Native because I don't wanna learn two frameworks.

:50days: Day 21/50 AoC was a bit harder (especially part 1 compared to part 2). I've made a custom background for starblog using some kind of noises (very light), I think i'll publish starblog soon for #C09JQE8P8EA|

:50days: Day 20/50 uuhh school :sad-pf: I've started AoC and setup a repo (i'll try to do them in both go and python) and added a github workflow for starblog There's also a post for 50d with a progress bar (i just need to add content)

:50days: day 20! it's monday again :( but today was day 1 of Advent of Code :aoc: after trying to find out why my pt1 solution worked with the test cases i could find but not the actual puzzle input, i cracked both puzzles fairly easily! my pt2 solution is terribly unoptimized but if it works it works also doing some more learning on vim! here's the LazyVim for Ambitious Developers book and my day 1 solution side by side

Day 20 of 50 days to 2026! I set up a n8n server today and I am in love. It is so much fun to make workflows and have them just work. Definitely a bit nicer than building myself a fully custom app for everything lol. I ended up automating my job's shift scheduling to auto import into my calendar as well as update the event if it changes duration or is deleted. I also have a fancy slack alert that lets me know when I have a shift that conflicts with something. I also have a robotics meeting today which should be fun and we are going to setup advantage scope which should hopefully give us some nicer diagnostics to work with. Oh and its the first day of AoC today! I ended up completing today last night right after it released and have a fancy repo with a nice cli to run everything over on my tangled repo! tangled.org/dunkirk.sh/aoc-2025

Day 19 of 50 days to 2026! Did some work on thistle today focusing on making the class experience a bit better. I split groups into sessions which should hopefully be a better experience that just dumping all of the lectures in one place. Did a bunch of experimenting with my keyboard as well which was fun. It's tricky to type on and I have to relearn how to touch type which is hard. Tomorrow starts advent of code!

Took 37 hours but my advent of code style problems and website is finally complete! I've been releasing them over the past days of Advent, and just finished coding up the final few puzzles.

Day 1 of Advent of Code!

Continued working on the hack assembler written in C (which I wish finished it today tbh), now can handle predefined symbols and labels. Every part except the empty lines have been compiled as expected. I just need to finish adding support for labels and variables and that should be everything... I told myself something similar 2 days ago when I didn't knew that I would need to implement variables... Essentially I hope I'm done by tomorrow, really hope I can participate into the advent of code this year...

Done some more Advent of Code geocaching problems, 14 and 15 done today! Dijkstra's algorithm in a grid with number values, and then a bit of Pythagoras for some point-to-point distances.
