@cytronicoder0Day 8/9/10 of #10-days-in-public! 🎡 I helped organise YALA, a 5-days 4-nights leadership and personal development workshop series, at the NUS School of Computing. I worked with other bright minds across the world, and I am really thankful to everyone in my organising team for all your support and backup in handling every YALA scholar and being amazing organising leads. Additionally, I want to thank them for helping me host my first ever coding workshop and the subsequent hackathon :parrot_love:
@aaryan0Day 10 of #10-days-in-public 🎊 Got exams this coming week, so probably won't be able to work on AoC. But almost finished all the projects for the FCC's JS DSA track! It's kinda amazing to know that I can actually maintain consistency (at least for 10 days straight ) Hope to keep this going for more!
@reesericci1Day 12/10 for #10-days-in-public, I got DNS record loading from dnsimple working in rails for the dns page for obl.ong!
@OmarMobayed0day 11 out of 10, reviewed quadratic approximation!
im going slow and steady with learning calculus! i wanted to upload the assignment i worked but my phone refused to share the photo to my computer unfortunately
@ian0Working on Hack OC’s scrapbook, I guess Day 11/10.
@KushagraAgarwal-U03S6G15NNT0#10-days-in-public Day 10 A trigonometric integral to end this challenge. I figured it out on my own
@aaryan0Day 9 of #10-days-in-public made progress on JavaScript Data structures and algorithms, will finish day 7 and 8 of Advent of code by today 😤 !
Also finished our major project today, presentation tomorrow :D
@KushagraAgarwal-U03S6G15NNT0#10-days-in-public Day 9 Accidentally copied the question wrong, but got to an interesting result. It may seem simple, but getting back to just the denominator with an integration constant seemed interesting to me.
@adelly130day 10 of #10-days-in-public! YAY! i finished my personal website during these 10 days in public! learned so much and got the opportunity to do smth on my todo list for so long :D
@OmarMobayed0DAY 10 OF #10-days-in-public!!!!!!! WOOHOOOO 🎉 :party-dinosaur:
I decided to review some calculus! I reviewed linear approximation, and looking back at it, im starting to agree with carot on the note of (hackclub.slack.com/archives/CKN4BTH29/p1659614224374049). its a heck of a whole lot easier than trying to understand approaching infinitely small quantities.
tomorrow, im going to break the rules and go to day 11!
@belle0finishing day 10 of #10-days-in-public with a lecture on flight planning! did not reach my original goal of finishing the entire lecture series but i'm definitely still going to be going through it :) to celebrate this being the last day, here's 3 cool things i learned:
• all runways are bi-directional and named after the angle/bearing so runway 180 is also runway 360 :) and you take off against the direction of the wind (it hits the nose of the plane first) so a runway working both ways allows pilots (instructed by the air traffic controller) to pick a direction depending on the weather.
• planes are louder when they take off than when they land because they use more power to initially get the plane in the air
• from 18,000 to 60,000 feet above sea level, the pilot must have an instrument rating and fly under instrument flight rules which basically means using data from your flight instruments to navigate rather than using your eyes haha, and that's because you have lowered visibility
(bonus: it's possible to safely land a plane even if your engine stops working because you're able to glide, and how far you can travel while gliding depends on your glide ratio)
@robert0Day 10 🎉 #10-days-in-public! Finished AoC day 8, worked on venue details for Hack OC, and continued reading the deep learning book!
@toby0hey everyone!! here's my update for day 10 of #10-days-in-public! today, i implemented the mockup i made in figma yesterday! later on, i'm going to try and make the emoji reactions interactive (maybe some confetti!) :D
@sporeball0#10-days-in-public 10/10
we made it! 🎉
today we heavily simplified Clover's assertions by simply repeating them, then nailed down something BIG - every Clover command now has an associated format string, meaning the interpreter will be able to figure out if a string of tokens is headed in the right direction...
and even if it needs to tell the difference between two similar forms of the same command, it should be able to sort it out!
this will be a huge boon as we start to add more commands :O
@alx0day 6/10 of #10-days-in-public
almost missed it because i was studying hard for this java test for apcs! wish me luck 🙂
@Lucas0#10-days-in-public :10daysinpublic: 10/10

@SanjayNagesh-U03LZ42C3B80DAY 10 #10-days-in-public Finally fixed my website and also created some designs for the sprig, will probably fix it up in less than 1 week and put it on thingibere. During winter break i will build a sprig game and get my own spirg 😎 . I am also done with the tesla stem solar website
But feel free to repost it with an image or video and I'll let it be
@aaryan0Day 8/10 of #10-days-in-public! Completed day 6 of AoC, it was much easier than I thought it'd be. Did a lot of work on my "copyright infringement detector" project, sketched a data model for storing perceptual hashes of our videos, hosted a redis instance on digital ocean and pushed all our data on it. Wrote a lot of python, and ffmpeg scripts for the project, kinda getting the hang of python now.
@reesericci1Day 10/10 for #10-days-in-public ! 🎉 Filling out the 10-day form rn! I also started on building out the scaffolding for the obl.ong backend with :railss:
@sike010/10 of #10-days-in-public I went to the beach today even tho it was pretty cold but it was decent
