@Kieran2day 12 of #100-days-in-public; today i was mad at robot code (wheels on the robot won't auto align); also did homework and too much spanish for one day
@ManitejBoorgu-U04QD71QWS01Day 11 of #10-days-in-public. I've decided that 10 days is too small of a time frame to actually complete a project of this caliber, and I've decided to continue it. But with no longer the pressure of getting fudge, I'm considering redoing the project from scratch. Created a new section:
@HenHen0Day 11 of #10-days-in-public, so far I’m the only person to post? Huh that’s weird. did some Duolingo and getting ready to code
@reesericci0Day 10/10 for #10-days-in-public: responded to an obl.ong outage today after the server vm crashed, and set up an infrastructure repository for a project to rebuild oblong infrastracture as a more reliable & declarative
@tejasbhartiya0Day 10/10 of #10-days-in-public !! EkS is absolute pain, struggling to get stuff up and running =(
@toonnongaeoy0Finally, #10-days-in-public has come to day 10, and I'm having problem on Wallpaper page, but I have come so far away now from beginning. So I think that's conclude our 10 days journey. But I will continue doing it on my channel (#toonnongaeoy-room) (if I have time cause I have a lot of things to do rn.)
@EvanGan7+Day 10 of #10-days-in-public!
Today I was at #wonderland! The group I am in is making a cooking themed game and also took apart a box fan for the motor because we thought it would be useful(in the beginning). We managed to hook the motor up to a relay and then to an Arduino micro. I tried to make the motor play music by altering the frequencies where it receives power. As I was trying a version of my code I managed to electrocute myself for the first time! After that we heavily taped over the exposed high voltage pins. Then using code group members wrote to try to control the oscillation speed, we ended up using Arduino's default tone library with the motor with some success. We the end result was just varying the speed the motor rotated at. In our playing around with the motor we found it got pretty hot.
I plan to continue my PCB project (after wonderland) may attempt #100-days-in-public
@dav0Day 10 of #10-days-in-public github release
First of all, I want people to be able to play to game on their sprig without having to compile everything, so I created a github workflow to automate compiling the UF2. This was my first time creating a github release too! Next, I optimized the web version of the game by throttling performance because the game runs way too fast. (Darn it why can't rust be less blazingly fast!) Specifically, I had the renderer secretly draw 200 extra cubes just to slow the game down. More importantly, I added a flashy menu screen followed by a camera panning animation similar to the one in the actual subway surfers. (It doesn't actually look that great but I love it). And that's it! That was 10 days! WOOHOO!
@savina0day 10 of #10-days-in-public
i was able to get basic login and auth done :))
@brunoblaise 0Day 10 of #10-days-in-public! Today I didn’t do any progress learning as it was our first club meeting which was super fun:)
@cupcakes7+Day 10 of #10-days-in-public!! Yippee, reached the end :blob_omg:. Found, yet another, cool :cutejavascript: library to add to my personal website! I can't wait to add all sorts of easter eggs :blobhaj_sneaky_devil:
@V2050Day 10 of #10-days-in-public so tired
not much today trying to understand how AWS IoT MQTT topics work
did some LLM work nearly crashed
@Kieran2day 10 of #10-days-in-public! we've done it! today I mostly coded for my teams robot and got shooting, climbing, and arm elevation working! I also submitted a garmin developer api request and did some dev tools sluthing to find the unoffical apis for integration with my website. to bask in the glory of a whole 10 days completed you can still view stats at m.kieranklukas.com/s/10daysinpublic including detailed stats per user at m.kieranklukas.com/s/10daysinpublic/userid@yazide0day 10 of #10-days-in-public, broke my TV 😭
@Sean0Day 10 of #10-days-in-public
I didn't get as much done as I would have liked to (screw life tbh)
I was in Manchester all day tho
Look at this old goods warehouse
@vik0day 4 of #10-days-in-public. today was the most if not the most unproductive day I've ever had. my kicad was slow (REALLY SLOW) on windows so i decided to switch to linux, but never really got to it so all i have are a bunch of documentation tabs open. also did a teeny bit of SAT practice. will actually work on the pcb sooner!!
@JonathanDeiss0day 10! Wrote a syntax highlighter plugin for inkdocs
@ManitejBoorgu-U04QD71QWS01Day 10 out of #10-days-in-public. I did not finish what I set out to accomplish on day 1, to create an outlook of my local community. But, here in Wonderland, I got to see a global community in person for the first time, and I’m glad I did. Here’s a toast to my incomplete project and to Wonderland.
@vik0day 10 of #10-days-in-public. after a short design sprint v0 of the mechancial keyboard pcb is done. it's not my best work, and will probably get iterated more and more until i'm happy with it, but i'm pretty proud of what it is so far. thank you for @Aram for the challenge, which pushed me to actually get off my butt and design it haha!
@Scott1700day 10 of #10-days-in-public!!!
woo hoo last day! Although it is the last day I will still try to post every day/every other day! Today I put in my order for my pcb which will be coming soon! Also placing some orders for other parts and starting on 3D modeling the legs and body v2!
@courtney0Day 10 of #10-days-in-public!! I'm really proud of my progress. Even better, I finished the challenge figuring out the issue that was holding me back all along...I wasn't waiting in between the edits (commits?) on Github, so they were all cancelling and not updating. That's why the updates showed on Replit but not my actual website. I'm proud to say courtneystringer.me is up and running, and I hope I'll be able to make more updates as the year goes by. I'm really proud of myself since I hadn't done anything coding-related in a while!!
@NikosTsilas-U04N415FE4T0Day 10 for #10-days-in-public
Today is the final day and I am so happy that I sent something every single day. I had to go somewhere so I did something very fast. I read some things about Raspberry Pi and I added some images and lessons in the Raspberry Pi lesson series.
@tejasbhartiya0Day 9 of #10-days-in-public ! Working on an eks deployment!
@Micha0Day 10 of #10-days-in-public - For the last day, I'm celebrating this terrible score on a MULTIPLE CHOICE ham radio test 🙃
@AidenRheem-U04FRJE5L5Q0#10-days-in-public, Day 10!, On the last day, I finally was able to setup all the Arduino circuitry and code. I proceeded with attaching the RGB Strip onto the 3D printed mount, but then I realized that there was no weight to counterbalance the bar, so I added some ball bearings onto the back. Really happy with how this project turned out!
@Kokonico1day 10 of #10-days-in-public!!! documentation... :sad-cat-thumbs-up: on the bright side, i'm done with objlog 2.0.0!!!
@zrl0My updates for day 9 and day 10 of #10-days-in-public!
Yesterday I spent some time getting github.com/hackclub/wizard-orpheus up to snuff to run a workshop on how to build a game using it at #wonderland!
It went really well and everyone built awesome games. I asked for feedback and got an NPS of 18%, which is good - but not great, so I’m working on improving it.
The key issues people identified are:
• Roughly 1/2 of people built something they were proud of, and a few people got super into it, but 1/2 of people didn’t customize and didn’t make something they’re proud of. I’m going to change the workshop so everyone comes up with their game concept and customizes from the beginning, rather than waiting to customize for the end
• For the more advanced people who already knew JS, they wanted to see docs so they could figure out how to customize it deeper. So I wrote them!
• The slides were hard to follow visually, so I am working on improving them
@imcuteaaaa0Day 10 #10-days-in-public
Maybe the editor went into maintainance(anyways i cant load it)
Learned about parellel processing(so that maybe i can implement it)
@HenHen0Can’t believe it’s already 10 days for #10-days-in-public doing some studying while waiting to perform!! I did some pretty good work these past 10 days
@EvanGan7+Day 9 of #10-days-in-public.
Today I got a working layout for my button grid in Easy EDA. Each side of each grid feeds into a 8-3 binary encoder. This post is a bit rushed because I am currently at #wonderland and forgot to post.
@savina0day 9 of #10-days-in-public
i learned how to create the liquid swipe effect on the onboarding page and i also learned how to link dart pages to each other in flutter!@dav0Day 9 of #10-days-in-public
Loads of progress on the game today. Yesterday, I wanted to implement multicore rendering, but I was very disappointed to find that the sprig's rp2040 doesn't have an efficient way to pass messages between cores for rendering. Because of this, even if it was implemented, the performance improvement would probably be negligible. After cutting my losses, I actually began to play test my game (yay). I changed the colors of the game to make it less jarring to stare at and added some speed progression. Now, the game gradually increases in speed, and when you die, the game actually ends. I also spent an hour trying to get the web version of the game up. My highest score while was 12.5K. If you would like to attempt to beat my score, you can now play a web version <https://davnotdev.github.io/subwaysprigsters|here>, or if you have a sprig, you can install subway sprigsters from the github here._
@reesericci0Day 9/10 for #10-days-in-public: Got Linear set up for :oblong: Oblong today to track/plan issues & projects, as well as set up UnoCSS with rails for a different project! github.com/rails/cssbundling-rails/pull/154

@NikosTsilas-U04N415FE4T0Day9 for #10-days-in-public
Ouff, I was on a school trip and I almost lost the day. So, today I made the 1st step in making the Raspberry Pi index page. I did the lessons (it took me almost 1 hour). To be honest today I didn't do many things, I just did 2 things in 1.5 hours. Here is the progress (and some photos from my school trip):
@yazide0Day 9 of #10-days-in-public!!! Today's mission was to set up an MDM for the iPads that will be hosting SDEPid these days!
@Aram0Day 9 of #10-days-in-public
Today I worked on adding a /uses page, showing what I use
@cupcakes7+Day 9 of #10-days-in-public! Trying to add a p5.js interactive window to my personal site!
@AidenRheem-U04FRJE5L5Q0#10-days-in-public, Day 9!!, Today the 3D printed mount and case finished for my light bar, and I soldered on the RGB light strip onto the wires connecting to the Arduino!
@courtney0Day 9 of #10-days-in-public!!! Today I fixed my homepage so it's got the splatterpain in it too 🤭 my only issue is it works in replit but not github, but i'll work on that tomorrow.@Micha0Day 9 of #10-days-in-public - oh noes, math in ham radio! what ever shall I do?
