@restaurantEntity7+Day 13/365all the streaksTasks I made progress on:
• Signalbreak
◦ FINALLY MANAGED TO REMOVE THE HEADER OFF THOSE GODDAMN GRAPHNODES.
◦ Also setup C# for the project, had to install .NET twice because I was stupid and didnt realize I had the non-C#-compatible version of the project.
▪︎ Why go through all this suffering, you ask? (Ok it wasn't that much work it was just mildly fustrating but) You know what requires fast code? Audio generation. Yea I played with audio generation that was why I did allat was to hype up the fact that I was doing audio gen. uhh. yea hope you enjoyed reading that block of text.
• Personal Knowledge System
◦ added an iframe to the dashboard so I can now see hackatime from obsidian

Wrote a bit in my reflections. Had some relatives come over today, and I went to school to pester staff.
Here's a snippet of my dashboard that includes my streaks and the hackatime thing. Note to self: change the colors for mood and productivity it's very hard to differentiate between them. Also yea I haven't written any (evergreen) notes I should do that aosjfoiaejsoejgoieg
Also technically it is day 14 now hence why the logged time is so little, I should go sleep-
@minecraftchest20Made a background for level one of my game using pixolroma, I tried using inkscape but it didn't turn out the way i wanted to. I'm currently trying to figure out how to add more levels to the game templete i am using. #gdscript #Godot. github.com/dragonruler1000/B.E.E.P./commit/25b72793bcb9ca2f124d388056902754d5d7ef47@DJ_Laser0Got started learning godot today!@Ultra0Finished Brackeys Godot Tutorial. It is very simplistic and unplayable as a game at the moment due to areas being blocked off and unfinished, which is why I will be adding to it soon, expanding the map and adding QOL and gameplay features. github.com/UltraArcher/Brackeys-Godot-Tutorial

@Nikhil0#hack-hour I worked on the multi target camera so it zooms out as the players get farther apart. There are a few tiny bugs (it zooms in instead of zooming out 😢) @ShawnMalluwa-U04BBP8H9FA0day 8 of #10-days-in-public! :10daysinpublic:

@sanziana0Day 2 of #10-days-in-public
Hi everyone! Today, I learned how to get input from the keyboard and mouse in Godot (how to make an input map, and also how can I open the documentation if I press cmd+click on a function 😅), how to make nodes communicate with each other (I practiced with shared functions, unique names, and more complex paths), and I learned more about different types of nodes such as Area2D, StaticBody2D, RigidBody2D, CharacterBody2D. I also delved a little bit into collision theory and how physics work in the engine. Tomorrow I'm planning to explore more the physics built in Godot, and to practice what I've learned today into more complex scenes.
See you tomorrow!@sanziana0Day 1 of #10-days-in-public: Today, I started exploring Godot. I learned about nodes and scenes (and how to import scenes into scenes), the basics of GDScript (since I already know Python and C++, this was the easiest part), and about delta time. Today, I mostly messed around with the interface to accommodate myself with the engine (it is my first one!). I read the docs and I follow Clear Code amazing tutorial (youtu.be/nAh_Kx5Zh5Q?si=YzWarMtjToemdvpK)
P.S. Also started the Nand2Tetris course. Computer architecture really starts to intrigue me (I attached some of my notes 😅)
See you tomorrow!
@ShawnMalluwa-U04BBP8H9FA0got moving items between the players inventory and an arbitrary container working in Godot!@ShawnMalluwa-U04BBP8H9FA0realized i dont really learn following tutorials, and so i've decided to try and make my own bespoke inventory system in godot. so far, ive learned a bit about resources, and store my items using a custom itemdata resource, which are then stored into inventory resources. provided an inventory resource, my gui can render the inventory resource by creating a slot for every item. gonna try and get this more usable
@ShawnMalluwa-U04BBP8H9FA0got pickups working. they're minecraft style rn where you walk into them to pick them up (as per le tutorial) but I'm gonna change it later to press E to pickup bc doing that in morrowind is satisfying@ShawnMalluwa-U04BBP8H9FA0making inventory system while I wait for a meeting
