FTC Kickoff today!!!! Game seems fun but very hard... anyways, since it’s a shooting game, I thought I’d have fun with some theoretical numbers and apply the 2D kinematics stuff I’m learning in physics rn
Increased mobile compatibility...
Yay the display matches what I type in real time.
Origami Luna Moth by Jason Ku ;)
Ahh finally got this thing to work
Wolfram Alpha is so smart! I needed to figure out a way to graph a circle tangent to the y-axis and the graph y=x and I just didn’t think wolfram alpha can solve so much 😂
When you mess around with the terminal too much
Realized port forwarding probably isn’t exactly the way to go (especially when trying to use it anywhere) so I’m experimenting with Dataplicity
The avatar controller is slowly but surely coming together... more options have been added, specifically the raise and lower head options. When the robot is made, this will raise and lower the monitor so the user can view at a different height. The video streaming works very well, and also added a limit switch :)
This is getting more and more complex... realized I need more pins so I connected an Arduino to the pi. Using a library called nanpy, I was able to control the Arduino from the pi
Got to mess with an MDD10A! Connected some motors to test the code and it works!
Ayy got some responses. It’s not much yet but I hope the number will increase.
Excited-ish kinda for school tomorrow
Lol who said math is useless?
Probably should’ve used a bigger paper but it’s made! Origami Sleipnir, 1 30x30 sheet tissue foil paper
About an hour worth of folding. Making an origami Sleipnir, an eight legged horse in Scandinavian myths, by Satoshi Kamiya. Folder with one sheet of paper!
When you realize printing PLA was such a charm
I’ve downloaded like 5 different versions of the Bimba Air Cylinder because I didn’t know which options/stroke length to use lol. This is what happens when a programmer does CAD.
Trying to explain how this thing works to people in my FTC team. It’s hard 😂
PIDPIDPID. Getting ready for Ultimate Goal (next FTC season). I wonder how it’ll go but nevertheless I’m excited (one more month till game reveal!!!)
When you’re doing a CADathon and don’t plan ahead
Changed the LED configuration so that I can simply connect the wires to an MDD10A motor driver to drive the robot remotely with a Raspberry Pi. Sadly the camera didn’t work out so well tho. Couldn’t do anything with the latency especially if the person is joining from far away. I hope we can build the root soon and see a remote-controlled robot with zoom.
For my friend’s birthday. CAD model of a piano. Will 3D print next 👍
Ayyyyy 9 hours print. I think it looks pretty good. Fun project
Slowly working its way up... watching a 3D printer is so satisfying (if it works well). I’ll post the end result as well
Modeled a vase/container. The top part is kinda small but it serves for what I want to do. Gonna 3D print it tomorrow 😁
Ayyyy some updates
Some new sprites for the game I’m developing. In addition to that, I embedded a google form to the game so people can give feedback now.
Nooooo I suck at streaks I apparently didn’t send any yesterday 😭
Mast is in place now too! I probably should’ve decorated beforehand but oh well... it was nice CADing and I had fun in this mini-project!
Updated look on the web server hosted by the raspberry pi to control its GPIOs! It also has a camera but the latency is pretty bad... hope I can fix that but for now I’m pretty happy.
3D printed sailboat. Floats in water! Just gotta print the mast now :)
Ayyyy I have a camera for the pi now! And I also have to connect the LCD display... but that’s for later.
