• I just woke up and had a very weird and long dream(read below if youre interested)
• I've been playing the card game hearts, it's so infuriating but I'm trying to be grateful everytime I'm not bullied into taking a card. it's much easier to live if you focus on the good parts actually. like it didn't rain when i was biking to prom or that summer vacation will begin much earlier this year
• I am playing piano and drawing again after a long hiatus🌸
dream:
One of the most chaotic dream ever. First I was a doctor. I was standing somewhere when one of my coworkers came over all red-eyed. Apparently they had turned into a vampire and wanted either a blood bad or my blood. I started running away in the empty hospital, all scared. However, the door was locked and I couldn’t get out through the window. Panicked, I made the time stop(lucid dream?) and restarted the run, this time getting out through a narrow gap in the window(like 2 cm) and went hiding in the bushes. All the grass was fake anyways and formed chains of plastic. I covered them onto me and lay still. My coworker then left through a medieval fancy carriage. I was relieved until they came back and spotted me. At that point I was like how could you do this to me?? Then the dream went to the second stage.
I was inside and the coworker was now a friend? I threatened to break their favorite kettle and cup if they didn’t listen to me. Now they were all scared and I watched the kettle boil while I checked my phone. Whatsapp now has all sorts of popups. Ad every time you click somewhere. I tried calling someone but the app wouldn’t let me. I couldn’t leave the building. We were isolated with no way to contact the outside world. My friend told me that it’s the apocalypse. The world is ending. This group of people has taken over the world, and that there are seats for the selected few to survive, but limited places. His dad told him. I asked how I should get a place, and he said to just ask whatsapp. So somewhere I typed “I want a place”. There was an immediate answer, asking basic details etc. I told them everything and the price was 200 million. I tried contacting my family to let them know, but in the end I could only tell one. And then the dream shifted again, we now lived in a typical american 3 story house, friends and family and strangers came over, we ignored the apocalypse, took a lot of fun pictures and sent it to the sus organization, which was very surprising. (this is definitely inspired by the dystopian sci fi stories my dad sent me when i was very young. One was that capitalism became so extreme wealth became more and more concentrated, in the end only 1 person had all the money and the rest had to pay for air etc. in the end we were shipped to another planet because the rich guy didn’t want to see us in his backyard anymore. Oh and also there were robots watching your actions so you can’t even steal or plunder.)
The third dream was simple. I was on a trip, i needed to find my hotel room but it was soo dark and blurry. I couldn’t find my hotel room or ask for help. My teammates had already found theris and i don’t remember which rooms they had. Some boys threw a stink bomb so I went downstairs. We(me, coach, a random professor) were on the second floor balcony overlooking a fancy lobby. More stink bombs so i kicked them off the balcony but they were still inside. I went downstairs to get them outside. It was a cute hotel, made of colored glass and had a middle eastern twist to it. I walked through the garden, talking with the flowers and looking at the exotic flowers. The air was moist and warm, and everything had this gaussian blur to it. In the end I had to use my flashlight to look at the room number plates one by one to finally find my room. Sadly the inside of the room is pretty dark too, the lights sucked and I didn’t have enough time to check my setup before tomorrow. Oh well.

yawn hi guys kaplin here yaawwnn boy im tired. am i conveying how tired i felt in a very conveyingful manner? yawwnn. anyways today I really didnt do much. I worked on my homework a bit, and then went with my family to go watch some dueling pianos thing. It was my first time going to one of those, compared to the rest of my family who went a year ago. anyways it was cool. they played piano (who would have guessed that one though). Their whole thing was playing without sheet music and from memory, which I do find very cool. They didnt play any of my reccomendations. Makes sense, they probably didnt know the songs (the two i recommended was Turn The Lights Off by Tally Hall and Like Him by Tyler the creator) since I only listen to less mainstream music. It was mostly just pop and country songs they played. oh well, it was still fun. Got home really late, so I didnt really do much of anything. thank you for reading :)

Today was overall a sleepy day. Got some quality lock-in time in the evening though, so managed to finish some of the smaller stuff. All that's left to do is make the levels then ship the game for V1! Speaking of levels... Introducing the monstrosity known as Carousel Part 2. Half the obstacles aren't even visible. My last two braincells can't figure out how to make it work without angling the sun, which makes it practically impossible to control the player's landing. Maybe when I wake up in the morning I'll know what to do.

Following the tutorial, I used matrix wiring to wire all the keys and rotary encoders.
It took me a stupid amount of time to realize that the reason the keys were in the order of a piano keyboard.
I also put labels on all the GPIO pins on the RPI Pico symbol.

Im almost done with my first project :hugging_face: This is my first ever personal project in html, css and js and I learnt so much from it! 🎹🎮@karmanyaahm0I captured the first waveform on my new oscilloscope!!! This is from my pocket PCB piano (prev. musical keyboard) speaker output. Effectively the output of a 555 timer!!! So exciting!!
🎹@karmanyaahm0Electronic Piano PCB ordered! Jam coming soon™. The gold/silver/circular pads are surfaces connected to capacitive touch sensors (they detect your finger by how it forms a capacitor with the circuit). I have different layers on those to experiment with which finish works best for touch detection in this design. But whenever each key detects touch, it allows the capacitor of the 555 timer (a frequency generator) to be charged at a rate determined by the variable resistor for that key (the potentiometers are at the top). Those potentiometers can be tuned to allow for different frequencies for each key. Then, the 555 timer outputs a signal into the speaker circuit, which you can then hear!
