• I just woke up and had a very weird and long dream(read below if youre interested)
• I've been playing the card game hearts, it's so infuriating but I'm trying to be grateful everytime I'm not bullied into taking a card. it's much easier to live if you focus on the good parts actually. like it didn't rain when i was biking to prom or that summer vacation will begin much earlier this year
• I am playing piano and drawing again after a long hiatus🌸
dream:
One of the most chaotic dream ever. First I was a doctor. I was standing somewhere when one of my coworkers came over all red-eyed. Apparently they had turned into a vampire and wanted either a blood bad or my blood. I started running away in the empty hospital, all scared. However, the door was locked and I couldn’t get out through the window. Panicked, I made the time stop(lucid dream?) and restarted the run, this time getting out through a narrow gap in the window(like 2 cm) and went hiding in the bushes. All the grass was fake anyways and formed chains of plastic. I covered them onto me and lay still. My coworker then left through a medieval fancy carriage. I was relieved until they came back and spotted me. At that point I was like how could you do this to me?? Then the dream went to the second stage.
I was inside and the coworker was now a friend? I threatened to break their favorite kettle and cup if they didn’t listen to me. Now they were all scared and I watched the kettle boil while I checked my phone. Whatsapp now has all sorts of popups. Ad every time you click somewhere. I tried calling someone but the app wouldn’t let me. I couldn’t leave the building. We were isolated with no way to contact the outside world. My friend told me that it’s the apocalypse. The world is ending. This group of people has taken over the world, and that there are seats for the selected few to survive, but limited places. His dad told him. I asked how I should get a place, and he said to just ask whatsapp. So somewhere I typed “I want a place”. There was an immediate answer, asking basic details etc. I told them everything and the price was 200 million. I tried contacting my family to let them know, but in the end I could only tell one. And then the dream shifted again, we now lived in a typical american 3 story house, friends and family and strangers came over, we ignored the apocalypse, took a lot of fun pictures and sent it to the sus organization, which was very surprising. (this is definitely inspired by the dystopian sci fi stories my dad sent me when i was very young. One was that capitalism became so extreme wealth became more and more concentrated, in the end only 1 person had all the money and the rest had to pay for air etc. in the end we were shipped to another planet because the rich guy didn’t want to see us in his backyard anymore. Oh and also there were robots watching your actions so you can’t even steal or plunder.)
The third dream was simple. I was on a trip, i needed to find my hotel room but it was soo dark and blurry. I couldn’t find my hotel room or ask for help. My teammates had already found theris and i don’t remember which rooms they had. Some boys threw a stink bomb so I went downstairs. We(me, coach, a random professor) were on the second floor balcony overlooking a fancy lobby. More stink bombs so i kicked them off the balcony but they were still inside. I went downstairs to get them outside. It was a cute hotel, made of colored glass and had a middle eastern twist to it. I walked through the garden, talking with the flowers and looking at the exotic flowers. The air was moist and warm, and everything had this gaussian blur to it. In the end I had to use my flashlight to look at the room number plates one by one to finally find my room. Sadly the inside of the room is pretty dark too, the lights sucked and I didn’t have enough time to check my setup before tomorrow. Oh well.

Today was fairly average. I woke up to do some summer class homework, then played lol. I think theres a issue with the course since one of the questions in the lab assignment thingamajig, one that had unlimited answers, has the incorrect answer. Ive tried what i think is the correct number, and all numbers around it. Still incorrect. oh well. In my current pokemon infinite fusion playthrough (that ive been playing for like a week now, great fangame), i did a certain sidequest to get a certain pretty pink mythical pokemon 😇!! Today I also had some yummy dinner with family friend whos in town. After it me and my brother walked in the (very light) rain downtown to go get some boba.. but the boba shop was closed for some reason so we had to walk all the way back to the resturant. I also did some thinking about it and looking at some stuff in the horizons channel. Im fairly certain i can get my grants after the event, so I would be fine to go to nexus. Tommorow I want to lock in. like REALLY lock in. so im going to try and wake up really early. probably going to regret it but trust it will work!! trust!!

• I downloaded the demo for UNBREAKABLE after Hex4 linked it and wow. I only played for like half an hour, but it felt like style was being injected directly into my veins. That's the level of cool I aspire to have in my games one day. Thinking a lot about the interactions between setting/aesthetics and story.
• Also found the phone that I've been missing for most of the year. Turns out my mum put it in the back of a drawer and forgot about it :skulk: There's a few 2FA things it'll be nice to get back, but I don't really have a use for it now (especially as it's missing a power button)

• Did a proper workout for the first time since I got sick
• Started poking around with Expo. Lowkey unless I find it really confusing I'll just go with Expo+React Native because I don't wanna learn two frameworks.

• Fixed a bug in Milkyway Pets where tray menu entries weren't being removed when clicked. Worked a bit on my other game, Burning Rain.
• Read ~30 pages of the comic 俺物語. I had to look up a lot of vocab, but I could get the general jist of a lot of sentences.
• Did some practice tests for my licence exam. It turns out that there are new questions being introduced next month, so I'll probably sit the test after my Japanese exam next week. That'll be the first goal ticked off my list!

It's called Burning Rain, after the acid rain which is the primary obstacle of the game. I plan to deploy it on the web soon since macroquad makes that easy, but you can play it right now on Linux, Mac and Windows! It’s called CloudCat and basically you have a cat, and rain clouds and your objective is to protect the cat using an umbrella (triggered for 3s via hitting the space bar)! I hand animated the cat & cloud and those are my first ever animations too!!

🌧️🎮@Chipz0I used hack club as motivation to learn a new coding language called LUA and used Roblox studio as my IDE. I followed a beginner course and made this game where I applied all that knowledge.
This game consists of buttons and bricks that have different functions such as killing the player, increasing rain density and decreasing. The main function of this game is the rain types and how it follows the player.

I did some animations as well for the game but it's not currently implemented and just sits in my repo for now. The dark room and flashlight is disabled for now.

Added a overhang so that the pressure and humidity can still be sensed while the box is closed while still providing shelter from the rain. Formatted one of my project 128mb micro sd cards to implement logging. Spent some time banging my head against the wall trying to figure out where the BMP280 is located on the I2C bus. Turns out the manufacturer (seller 3rd party) was wrong and the sensor is not on 0x77 but instead on 0x76. Will print the box tomorrow time permitting.

today i didn't get too much done. i woke up pretty late, did a couple workouts from the nike training app and then went for a walk and danced in the rain w my friend which is literally the best feeling. highly recommend! i tried to work on debate but my head wasn't feeling too good so wasn't rlly productive the rest of the day. i also made a cake and decorated part of the house because today (jan 3rd) is my dad's 50th! anyways, overall not the best day but still tried to make the best of it!
