โข I downloaded the demo for UNBREAKABLE after Hex4 linked it and wow. I only played for like half an hour, but it felt like style was being injected directly into my veins. That's the level of cool I aspire to have in my games one day. Thinking a lot about the interactions between setting/aesthetics and story.
โข Also found the phone that I've been missing for most of the year. Turns out my mum put it in the back of a drawer and forgot about it :skulk: There's a few 2FA things it'll be nice to get back, but I don't really have a use for it now (especially as it's missing a power button)

โข Fixed a bug in Milkyway Pets where tray menu entries weren't being removed when clicked. Worked a bit on my other game, Burning Rain.
โข Read ~30 pages of the comic ไฟบ็ฉ่ช. I had to look up a lot of vocab, but I could get the general jist of a lot of sentences.
โข Did some practice tests for my licence exam. It turns out that there are new questions being introduced next month, so I'll probably sit the test after my Japanese exam next week. That'll be the first goal ticked off my list!

today was a pretty chill day since I spent time prepping for my dad's birthday and running this event, but I did manage to get some work done on Tanuki! i've added rain sounds with its own slider, fixed bugs, and made a few UI tweaks.
๐ง๏ธ๐@logabe0Started work on my first game for #C09EZSEMB16|! It's a second go at an idea for a puzzle-platformer I dreamed up a few years ago. It's called Burning Rain, after the acid rain which is the primary obstacle of the game. I'm hoping that this jam will challenge me to polish up a game into something beautiful, rather than the usual mostly-working state my projects end up in.

I plan to deploy it on the web soon since macroquad makes that easy, but you can play it right now on Linux, Mac and Windows! Itโs called CloudCat and basically you have a cat, and rain clouds and your objective is to protect the cat using an umbrella (triggered for 3s via hitting the space bar)! I hand animated the cat & cloud and those are my first ever animations too!!

๐ง๏ธ๐ฎ@Chipz0I used hack club as motivation to learn a new coding language called LUA and used Roblox studio as my IDE. I followed a beginner course and made this game where I applied all that knowledge.
This game consists of buttons and bricks that have different functions such as killing the player, increasing rain density and decreasing. The main function of this game is the rain types and how it follows the player.

I did some animations as well for the game but it's not currently implemented and just sits in my repo for now. The dark room and flashlight is disabled for now.

Added a overhang so that the pressure and humidity can still be sensed while the box is closed while still providing shelter from the rain. Formatted one of my project 128mb micro sd cards to implement logging. Spent some time banging my head against the wall trying to figure out where the BMP280 is located on the I2C bus. Turns out the manufacturer (seller 3rd party) was wrong and the sensor is not on 0x77 but instead on 0x76. Will print the box tomorrow time permitting.

I'm ready to start classes next week! :yay::backpack: So as I mentioned yesterday, here's the description for my new Hack Club's PR! :merge: There were some differences between Scrapbook's README file and the "About" section of the website, so I edited the .mdx file which I also learned how to work with to bring back that missing info! Today as well I read that GitHub is going to archive Atom! It was the first code editor I used and it's always going to be special for me even when I've been using vs code a lot lately! today i didn't get too much done. i woke up pretty late, did a couple workouts from the nike training app and then went for a walk and danced in the rain w my friend which is literally the best feeling. highly recommend! i tried to work on debate but my head wasn't feeling too good so wasn't rlly productive the rest of the day. i also made a cake and decorated part of the house because today (jan 3rd) is my dad's 50th! anyways, overall not the best day but still tried to make the best of it!
