i made a live polling thing with rails a week or so ago because all the other ones are crummy and expensive. at least i fixed the second issue? github.com/mrhappyma/PollPresenter
i made a cool bot to tell me the school lunch every morning! it uses ai to parse my school's menu pdfs!
github.com/mrhappyma/lunch-lady
i made a site to collect all my classmates' schedules, so you know who you share classes with before school starts! this was my first full functioning app with rails and the speed at which i was able to add stuff is kinda crazy. not so great for earning arcade hours though.
no screenshot since it has all my classmates and teachers names. github.com/mrhappyma/schedule-collector
more cool stuff for frc lookup- the keyboard launches on startup!
+ a backend that caches robot photo urls so it's waaayyy faster downloading those (but that's boring)spent a #hack-hour adding punishments for editing and deleting counts in #up-vs-down
mining some rubies for #10-days-in-public, this is a pretty cool tutorial. feel like I understand like 3/4 of what I'm doing which could be worse?
we got rails! just following the tutorial for now. this stuff is pretty cool! quite different than what I'm used to.
#10-days-in-public, with an hour to spare 💪
finally got pi-hole set up again. now to prepare for my siblings complaining about rewarded ads not working in those dumb mobile games (and what a horrible person i am for setting this up again, that they have to go through all the work of letting me see their ip so i can disable it for them)
opening night!
commenting! and editing!finally making some more progress on this!presenting my enemy for this evening: the fios router admin page
I made @upsanddowns to act as Jia for #up-vs-down - assigns new members a team, makes sure people count correctly, and resets the game at 100 or -100. this was my first time making a slack bot - slack bots are fun!
on github at mrhappyma/slack-ups-and-downs, or go count in #up-vs-down to see it in action!
time to finally start posting #100-days updates... HEY LOOK ITS A NICE GITHUB LOGIN FLOW!
the plan is to do some sort of github & discord issue sync and that login was a lot easier than i thought it would be so i'm optimistic!shopping list! hopefully I can control myself from adding too much more big stuff
look what showed up in the mail today!!
finished up and submitted my pcb nfc business card for OnBoard!
first scrapbook post lets see how this works
went through the frustrating and anxiety-inducing process of moving a bunch of stuff from random projects to a different VPS because i already screwed something up on the other one.
here's oracle cloud not saying this instance is always free like it did with the old one even tho I'm sure I stayed within the limits and hopefully it refreshes tomorrow and says that?? the billing for this stuff is more complicated than it should be
