All of our Mintere sites are generated by components so you can’t do fancy stuff like negative margins and what not 😞 but anyways in Figma, I’m used to just generating a Macbook/Desktop Frame and scaling the height by x to get the exact vh for each section and then I do the fancy stuff with absolute positioning and negative margins.
Fast forward to today and I noticed something super interesting one of our designers (or both idk) which is really nice for componentized design. I might just use this method now cause it’s easier than scaling the height by x and trying to remember the original height. cc @ben
tldr: Use Auto-Layout with individual Macbook/Desktop frames and make your developers happy :)
i tried making a newsletter component

Today (in about 5-10 minutes actually), I created Anomaly Science's website. Check it out here: anomaly-science.vercel.app! I'm still off this Slack for the next two weeks so don't feel bad if I don't reply. Also, if anybody knows how to fix the B+ on DuckDuckGo, let me know, I think I have to add a special tag but not sure where the documentation on that is. Stay tuned for @nihal's Save the Entire Universe site which I'm expecting to be finished before the 8th.

🚢 CHALLENGE SHIP 🚢
Aight I’m shipping a link shortener which is faster than @rishi’s if I remove the Airtable integration. Like @rishi’s, it supports additional parameters at the end of a link. It’s written in Next.js and just as easy to clone. Check it out at srtk.me/gh/srtk.me-v2! (that link is using the shortener)
coming soon: ip address tracking with location and other information
Today (or rather tonight) I added some fancy cards, some headers, fixed the nav bar, and fixed my spotify widgets!
YEEHAWWWW 🤠 today i added a walkthrough page for my site cause my main page is super simple. My favorite parts are the custom card components I made and the timeline I made! Check it out at sarthakmohanty.me/walkthrough!

i’ve been taking mental health breaks throughout the day and I created a shortcut (edited from the shortcut marketplace) to help me with this. it blocks off a specific amount of time and sets an alarm when it’s done and turns on do not disturb

I hope I didn’t miss my deadline but I’m still trying to finish this
I signed up for a virtual Mac and I accidentally put someone else’s email. I’m super good at this.
Omg for a second I thought I broke my streak. Some person used Tor to access next year site.
Created a search bar while also breaking a different mixin somehow
I have just discovered bootstrap has themes. I've applied the Cyborg theme onto my resource bank. Gotta fix a few styling issues tho like the size of the headers:
I've been trying to learn backend development. I'm using middleware and the AWS CLI to make some dynamic links in pug. I don't know what to put as the picture so here are the first few lines of my code:
