New Ship!!!
I came across this Movie Lens Dataset thanks to Copilot (this tech is amazin I'm tellin you).
I got inspired by few of the notebooks there and decided to build my own recommender system, the problem was that I didn't know a single thing about recommendation systems so I started extensive research.
After few days of research and few more days of coding it's ready: Movie Recommender
• This is a project in a notebook format as the model and datasets are too heavy to deploy to free services.
• Contains Content-based recommender and Collaborative Filtering recommender
• I try to write detailed README so refer for more details
Find it Here: github.com/Gautam-flash/Movie-Recommender
Two types of results are attached:
Ship 🚢 (part-2 ?)
So I recently shipped this Tweet Sentiment analyzer and @gabruharsh244 asked me for an API which I hadn't created.
I started learning basics of flask so that I can actually create the API and few days later here I am with the flask app and a beautiful frontend (I'm not a frontend guy so I'm really proud of the page ngl).
I've attached a video in replies to this which clearly shows the features of the page in detail.
🛑 Couldn't deploy it as the slug size goes over 500 Mb and any free server (heroku for eg) has a 500 Mb limit.
:large_yellow_circle: If you have suggestions please don't hesitate to state it here or DM me @akshaygautam010
Here is the link to repo.
Even tho it's not something very complex I'm really proud of it 🤗.
Hi, I hope you're all doing good.
I would like to ship my latest project.
Sentiment Analyser:
It's a beginner friendly NLP type project that predicts the sentiment of a tweet as either positive or negative.
It's trained using the US-Airline-tweet dataset and scales well to most of the tweets related to transportation (doesn't work well with other types or tweet tho).
Currently it's in a jupyter notebook format which makes it easier to learn from, feel free to use it for learning, experimenting and improving.
This is not yet deployed, I'll have to learn flask to deploy it so maybe in the near future.

Hello all,
Here is another ship🚢 from me,
Diabetes predictor.
It uses the PIMA India dataset with KNN as it's model to predict if a person has high risk of diabetes based on factors like: pregnancies, age, blood pressure, glucose, bmi, heritage (if their ancestors had it), skin thickness and insulin levels.
Few of notable features are:
• The data imputation technique used
• Normalisation used
• A recursive approach to attain best value of K for knn.
The GUI is made in tkinter.
This is not supposed to be a health app or something, but a learning experience.

It's "Hindi Diwas" today. Hindi is one of the most spoken languages of India. Two of the many best things about this language are:
It has a fixed pronounciation for every letter and combination of letters. (To and too is something that isn't a problem here, also no silent characters like in Knife, Tsunami).
It has the ability to write absolutely anything, it can write any other languages words with precision and accuracy (any russian, japanese, Italian, french, etc words can be written with accuracy)
Wasn't even radioactive, smh😬.
The festival of lights is here, yay!!!
Happy Chhoti Diwali🪔
The lovely sky amidst all the light pollution.
I was a curious kid, too curious to handle sometimes. But my father knew that I was different than the normal bunch and so he always supported me. I used to buy toys just to disassemble those, I even used to dismantle home appliances and any hardware stuff I could find. Most people thought I'm just a destructive kid ,but my father supported me and then I learned about an equally intresting thing "coding".
My father has too less computer knowledge to understand it, and the few friends I had just didn't care. I felt Alone
But few months ago I discovered a community completely suited for me, full of people like me, full of people better than me. A place where I think I finally belong to, Hack Club.
Happy Birthday and thank you @zrl for everything you have done for everyone, you are awesome 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Came as a surprise...
Thank you @minderella and Hack Club :yay:
guess what is it ?
I'm gonna post this flower.
Yeah, that's it.
This one little piece of confusion 😐.
What a lovely mess😁
Garbage 🗑️, maybe 😁.
Yay!!!!!!
I participated yah!!
Didn't do much today, so here is a screenshot of me trying to download macOS (which failed BTW) 😂
Wrote some interesting code (according to me😂) but can't show it here, so here is my github profile and a picture of my 12 day streak for the first time (because I have access to a laptop 😅).
Engines like these are also jet engines, it's just an improved version called Turbofan jet engine.
Annoyed that no one's knows this, you talk about jet engine ans they think about a fighter plane smh😑.Sam has invaded my github TL :sam-1::github:
Lost my streak again 😑. Imma start a new one , again.
I've been learning ML/data science since 5 months now and I realised my methods of actually learning it was not very good. So now I create a repo to keep track of what I learned and also practice, it can also serve as a reference. Currently I'm adding already completed topics and projects.
Made an app in python which lets to start multiple applications in one click. And it also remembers your last choice. Sadly I forgot to take a pic, os here is part of the code.
Didn't do much today, so here's a pic of my streak that I have after getting access to a laptop and learning to use VSCode😁
fLIP-Flop😁
I did it.
I made an android game completely in python. Maybe it can be my first #ship.
Learning Kivy 2nd day. Today I used laptop and not a phone😅, wrote python in VScode for the first time (was using Pycharm). Also this week I'll constantly have a laptop to code, so yeah gonna learn many things.
Trying to create an android application using Kivy. Trying........Trying.......... The irony is I'm doing it on an android phone😂
Learning Kivy😃
Did a lot of Club stufff, but nothing to show. So here is the whatsapp group icon which we are using.😅
Classes, .....oof :roblox_oof:
I had nearly forgotten the joy of disassembling things, 🤪 feels awesome to be back.
The base is taking shape now....
Watched GOH and read random comments for 30mins. Attended classes too
Finally I can use the laptop again, getting back to NLP😁. I missed python....
Finally after 2 re-orders recieved the required model and make. Huge Thanks to @annlee_fores for going through all that headache. I've already started disassembling it and let's seee...
Did a lot of Club work, here is a question from the recruitment form, think you can answer?
Realised that we need more memebers for the club (we planned a lot of events) , did lot of stuff😁
Did a lot of Club stuff. Here's a part of what was going one😁
Created a profile document for Hack Club PESCE
Here's an eye candy because I Only attended online classes today and did pretty much nothing.
PUBG mobile is finally banned in 🇮🇳.
So here is picture of PUBG still running ,before it shuts down lol.
Setup ssh and vnc for my rpi zero-w (first boot) and wrote some basic code, thats all.
Now that's what I call a wave of hardware 🤩🥳.
Only one package remaining now.
Second minor wave (😂) of hardware.
"Contest of thoughts"
Thanks to help from sam my (first) website is up. It will evolve overtime.
Look at what just arrived😍. First delivery.
Thanks @sampoder@roshan and @annlee_fores. More will be arriving anytime now.
Tried deploying my first site and was unsuccessful. I messed up something. Currently don't have access to a laptop, but will try tonight again.
Creating my first website. Last time I wrote HTML I was in class 10th and it was the lab which happened twice every month and I got to display my name with a marque tag.
*I'm gonna take my horse to the old town road , I'm gonna rideee till I can't no more.* 🎶
Completed full body challenge in advance level. I look still the same lol, feels a bit different tho.
Finally found a set for really low cost (maybe due to Indo-China tension). BTW it's not part of som-hardware.
Here's a pic of my bottle chilling on the bed.....😂
Time to revise some basic C syntax...... :aussiecongaparrot:
I found out that I can buy stacking screws in my local store....
Some data visualization going on :aussiecongaparrot:
Raspberry pi toolkit. These two apps are what I use to use my phone as display/input for rpi using usb connection.
A custom Arduino mega based board. It basically contains a motor shield and some basic shields included. It's designed by a local company. One of the first boards I stumbled upon.
I now have access to an automatic CNC in my college. Too bad I don't know how to us one. (PS. - pic is from Mar 11, we are still in lockdown).
Three of my favourite characters from my favourite anime😃.
This bot which I made a while ago to actually test out the range NRF24L01 can provide. Bad lighting and a different song choice😃List was approved by Sam 😃. I bugged him too much about it(🙇♂️ sorry), now I'll just wait for these to arrive.
I just opened the TV's magic remote to find out what exactly it uses to move the cursor so accurately. I found a secondary IR chip and I guess it's responsible for the functionality.
Simple something I made an year ago....
See that battery pack😂.
I don't remember what I was making, but it was fun for sure...
This was 5 months ago, I had successfully got an old camcorder working again. Was planning to use it with rpi or Arduino , but this lockdown........
When you use stackoverflow solution in your project. 😂
I made this when I was getting bored like an year ago. Missing my H/W collection...:(
I successfully repaired my phone(kinda), and the issue is still unknown to me. Mostly the display connector was rusty(not visible) due to water. I used some alcohol and cotton to clean it and the phone is working fine now (not that I'll use it anymore, exchange time lol).
My phone stopped working and it's lockdown here. So now I'm gonna fix it.....
