@toonnongaeoy0Finally, Thai version of the Hack Club global site is up.
Thanks, @sampoder for making this project and help me along the way.
This also my first translate that I do in public, so if it have any mistake you can tell me and I will fix it right away, or maybe just make a pull request to the repo.
Ahoy there, matey! Avast ye eyes and lend me thy ears, for I've got a tale to tell ye about a drone unlike any other. This be no ordinary flying contraption, for it be equipped with the finest artificial intelligence and advanced sensors known to man.
Arrr, let me regale ye with the details of this marvelous invention. Our drone, which we'll call the "AI Sentry," is a technological marvel that could make even Blackbeard himself envious. With its advanced sensors, it can detect and track targets from great distances, making it an invaluable tool for surveillance and reconnaissance.
But what truly sets the AI Sentry apart from other drones is its AI capabilities. It has been programmed to learn and adapt to its environment, allowing it to make split-second decisions and adjust its flight path accordingly. Whether it be navigating through treacherous terrain or avoiding obstacles, the AI Sentry is up to the task.
But that be not all, me hearties. The AI Sentry is also capable of autonomous flight, meaning it can operate without the need for human intervention. This makes it an ideal candidate for a wide range of missions, including search and rescue operations, disaster response, and even delivery services.
But let's not forget about the AI Sentry's most impressive feature - its ability to swarm. That's right, this drone can operate in coordinated groups, communicating with each other and sharing information in real-time. This opens up a whole new world of possibilities for applications such as security, crowd control, and even entertainment.
So, there ye have it, me buckos. The AI Sentry is a drone like no other, boasting advanced sensors, artificial intelligence, autonomous flight, and swarm capabilities. With its endless possibilities, it's no wonder why it's the talk of the seven seas.
thankyou @HackClubBank-U04SEGJ8WN5 for supporting the project , and special thanks to @MelanieSmith who over time in weekends, I am still making that device to stop you overwork , and @sampoder I assure you this will not crash AGAIN , ps-EPOCH@ShubhamPatil0Working on documentation for tripley.app! Using the country structure that @sampoder introduced during CodeDay Labs
@provsalt0Went to the Github fireside chat event in Singapore with @sampoder today and met the CEO and vice president of github! It was an amazing time and we got some free swag too.
@cytronicoder0Day 5/6 of #10-days-in-public :lioncityhacks:
It was Lion City Hacks yesterday: massive shoutout to @sampoder and his team for organising this whole event! We had a lot of fun (and stickers), and the team learned a lot of key designing tools and programming skills along the way. Additionally, our meme/coin project is still underway at #samcoin, so if you want to contribute to it, join the channel now! :coin-mario:
Today, I participated in a math competition and chilled the whole day - got a bit sick so going to sign off early.
@provsalt0Today, my team and I attended the Lion City Hacks hackathon hosted by Innovation Circut and I've learnt a lot about working in a stressful environment where time management is hugely important. Thank you @sampoder and the organizers for organizing my first in person hackathon!
@cytronicoder0Day 4 of #10-days-in-public! T-1 day until #lioncityhacks, and I spent some time tonight working with @sampoder and the Innovation Circuit team on setting on the event space :lioncityhacks:
We got the banner onto the booth, set up the registration table w/ loads of sticker, and set up the polaroid camera. I am really excited for tomorrow 🚀
@karolina0translated hack club's global site into polish! not sure if i did everything right... lmk @sampoder :))
@reesericci0I just had the funniest, most panicked phone call ever with 1-855-62-HACK - i got to talk to @sampoder@deven and @msw. while they were boarding (not @deven) tho. i got put on hold for like 10mins by @deven it was incredible.
@ian0Last weekend, the :assemble: Assemble team launched ticketing.assemble.hackclub.com, which allows attendees to upload their physical or virtual vaccine card ahead of the event, and will soon open up for pre-event COVID testing. A ton of work was put into it by the team: @tetraoxygen built the backend for Assemble ID and vaccine verification, I built a website for uploading vaccination proof, and @sampoder added the finishing touches like the Assemble theme and copy. The repo has been private for a bit while we cleaned up the codebase and improved security and stability, but now it’s public!
If you’re attending Assemble and you haven’t already uploaded your vaccine card, go to ticketing.assemble.hackclub.com and do it before Tuesday.
@abby0Coded a preview / added a meta tag (thanks @Ishan + @sampoder for ur advise) for my website. Craig Newmark ( craig’s list founder) tweeted about it!
@philipstudentemail0@sampoder lead an amazing Kaboom workshop at PyraHacks today! And PyraHacks ended with over 250 projects shipped raising $2000 dollars for St. Jude! @blakedfreeman and I are so thankful to all the hackers, speakers, pledgers, and sponsors! Also a shoutout to @micahlt and @RobbieKhazan for helping us organize PyraHacks!!!
And speaking of streaks, with this post I take @sampoder second 🥈 streak place at scrapbook post with 243 consecutive days!!! 🔥 :parrotdad:
@jzaleta02021 is over, Hi 2022! I'm happy to start a new year where I hope to make amazing things. Today I started my new hacker journey with 3 small commits and did my first review on a Hack Club Repo, thanks for this @sampoder! Here's an image of my brand new year GitHub HeatMap and the one of my scrapbook, which it's a bit bugged because I post daily, but still, it's awesome to be able to work on amazing things and I hope to have great memories and moments on this year.
@zfogg0Here's the secret project I mentioned, @hugo.y.hu935! i'm putting together something called....
✨ SAMBOX ✨
The Sambox is little box that has a computer you can SSH into and instantly hack on a project and deploy it, with custom DNS and zero setup :cooll-thumbs:. It has its own wifi router and everything. Just power it up and start hacking; you're good-to-go!
This Sambox will go on a journey. It's going to start by being mailed to a Hack Clubber, who will hack on it for a few days (until the timer runs out‽). We'll include four shipping labels with Sambox so that the first hacker can mail it to the second. The second hacker may change or customize anything on Sambox or contribute something new, and then pass it on to the third after the time runs out.
All hacking will be done OFFLINE on the Sambox :yuh:
The final person to get Sambox will be @sampoder of course, who will plug it into the internet, putting all of the projects online! :yay:
Here's the shopping list. Parts arrive ~tomorrow~ today!
@Skye0hows this really quick draft for the summer of making emoji 2021? the lines are ugly but can be fixed :)
@matthewvandyke080Today I have officially reached 365 days of posting to my scrapbook. I started during Summer of Making last year just as something to do, but after the summer I kept up with it to keep myself accountable. If you go back you can see all my projects and updates from them that I have done since last year such as: Students Who Code, my portfolio, myDash, BrainDUMP, esports website, running Secret Santa, and so much more! Thank you to everyone who has followed along and thanks to @sampoder and @matthew for creating scrapbook! So now that 365 is done.....whats next?
@caleb0Big news: scrapbooks now have RSS feeds! 🎉 Visit yours by appending .rss to the end of your scrapbook's URL, e.g. scrapbook.hackclub.com/caleb.rss (doesn't support custom domains)
You should also be able to run /feed subscribe <https://scrapbook.hackclub.com/username.rss> to subscribe a Slack channel to your scrapbook, but I admittedly haven't tried it.
Thanks @sampoder for helping out! :sam-1:
@manasmw3330This is what I showcased in the #asiaconf
The self-stabilizing spoon was my Summer of Making project and now I'm shipping the version 2.0
I tried to reduce the size of the handle and also designed a custom PCB for the same.
I'll ship the final product once the 3D printed case is ready.
Thank you Hack club team and the SOM team.
Special thanks to @zrl @sampoder @roshan @annleefores.
You guys are awesome!@sampoder0today i presented.. the *CLIMATATOR*! it’s a 4D interactive media experience / climate change simulator that showcases the effects of climate change to a younger audience. you enter the cabinet, put an AR headset on, watch a fictional weather report from 2050, then you begin to feel the heat of a heatwave 🔥 (there’s a strong heater inside), then you going on a bumpy ride (haptic motors) in a fire truck fighting wildfires :firefighter: (it’s still boiling from the heater and it intentionally smells of burning) and to end of your experience a cyclone with winds (a big fan) and shaking (haptic motors) 🌀 + it’s got sound effects and a nice video (this is my myp personal project, goal was to create an engaging way of learning about climate change)
the wooden structure was put together with a lot of drilling and with the use of recycled materials to the extent possible. i learnt a lot about woodworking as this was my first ever real woodworking project.
*this is biggest project ever, it’s taken me since August to build this all out…..* and i’m really proud of the final product. uses a mix of Raspberry Pi Python, Arduino, Next.js & Node.js to all work. the AR headset is powered by Holocron (www.npmjs.com/package/@sampoder/holocron)
more is at: climatator.co/de:partyparrot:
@sampoder0This Christmas I got a Jedi Challenges AR Headset from Santa (thanks Santa!). I really like the game, but I wanted to be able to put custom applications on to it!
So I made Holocron :jediparrot: which is a React component that makes doing so super duper easy. It helps you size the window correctly and position the screen etc. It was my first time making a React component and I found the publishing quite difficult but I worked it out well: www.npmjs.com/package/@sampoder/holocron
I then built a demo app that shows the status of your Vercel deployments on your headset. It uses SWR and react-reveal to make it feel buttery smooth!
I also built one that implements the Slack events component on the Hack Club Website (here) on to it (sadly I ran out of time to put this in the demo vid but there are pics attached!
Here's the GitHub project for the package: github.com/sampoder/holocron.
And here's the demo video which I submitted to MLH's weekly hackathon...... and guess what?? Somehow, I won Best Overall Hardware Hack so I now get a free kit from ironically DigiKey (you still owe me money, no escaping) but my react component won best hardware hack lol!@sampoder0got hack club slack onto my jedi challenges headset! using www.npmjs.com/package/@sampoder/holocron
@ella0created a program to change my Slack pfp to different pictures of cats throughout the day (based on @sampoder’s Slack pfp workshop)
@rajendradangal100Hello. Sorry I had been distracted from the slack since months and couldnot thank hackclub for the hardware. I am thankful to @sampoder for accepting the project and then guided me to try different sites and tools but when nothing worked then @roshan was there to help me with the hardware I needed and spend long time figuring out things and thank for helping me with the shipment issues and at last @nasheeb.dangi for helping me with the Customs because I would have to pay lot more without you. @avrohomtravers0My front door face recognition system is now operational. It still has some small glitches and there are a few thing I'm planning to change but overall it works quite well. I can come to the front door and type in my code to unlock the door (only if it sees me). If it doesn't recognise someone then it will send me a picture of them so that I can add in their name in.
Great big thanks to @sampoder and everyone else involved in the SoM.
@sanjanarajk140Thanks @sampoder i just now received my first package and am really thankful to you . But the delivery boy says that i need to pay for 2 parcels in COD which he didn't give me today, as he said they do not deliver COD items on Saturday. Well I am bit confused , do i need to pay for those 2 items. Otherwise I am really happy to have my first parcel through.
