@magicfrog0this is the first PCB i've ever made! introducing... ✨ magic frog's lightsaber ✨!! i designed it originally for #C06RQ9TTEG3|... but it took a lot longer than expected lol. it has a mpu6050 gyroscope & accelerometer and ardunio nano. when you move it faster, more of the neopixel LEDs light up and each axis (x, y, z) is assigned to red, blue or green.
i first designed the entire board not planning on using the ardunio nano or mpu6050, instead components built into the board but there were a tonnn of problems (one of which was burning the bootloader but then again got to use oscilloscope to see the data lines which was sooo cool) so i decided to change plans. the board has some fun lighthouse-themed silkscreens bc i was first planning on 3d-printing a case and making a lighthouse desk lamp.
also big big thanks to @ThomasStubblefield and @ky200617 for helping me out and encouraging me along the way! :)

finally, here are some fun long-exposure light photos i took and pictures of the board!
@Bartosz0Finally finished my first game without any help! Assets are made almost entirely by me, not counting the sound effects. I learnt a lot - how to manage workflow of building a game, how to use Godot, create sprtiesheets, animations. How to implement player's movement which differs from typical one. And many other things! I still have a long way to go, but I will definitely try to improve myself! Here's repo: github.com/BudzioT/Run-Bomb-Bomb
@Sweattypalms0Got this far! It loads the MOTD and stuff from the config file and shows it in the server list. And you can also try join the server, and it shows the 'Joining world' screen! A lot of progress~~
Make sure to star it <3.

It's a basic server reimplementation of the minecraft server framework.
Made with ❤️ in rust!
@sahitid0:kitty-dance: 🌸 *days of service ship incoming:*:kitty-dance: 🌸
Blossom 🌸 was held in Atlanta, Georgia from March 15-16th.
working closely with the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta :girl-scouts:, i had the privilege of organizing a day-long event that brought together a team of high school female mentors and dozens of eager girl scouts. beginner girl scouts embarked on exciting journeys - from crafting their own PCB :pcb: keychains that they later had manufactured through #onboard to delving into an introduction of javascript :js: to code drawings on #blot the drawing robot. every girl went home with a unique new hardware or software project that they 100% created themselves, but most importantly, the confidence needed to pursue coding further :blobheart:.
we also had a brilliant dinner (with ricotta balls :blobby-doughnut:) the night before with 28+ women in technology and STEM who guided us with their stories and experiences in their fields. all the high school mentors and i were fueled for the day ahead of us by the end of the night:half-salute:.
it was so motivating to see girls who had never touched code before leaving the event with the confidence that they had a place in the world of technology & finished projects that they could show off.

@ShawnMalluwa-U04BBP8H9FA0BIG UPDATES LOGANG oksobasically I've got my thatch block actually aging with random ticks + its directional! only really got to add like... 6 more things to this block before its done
1. green version should be the same color as the biome grass
2. should probably take a little bit longer to rot (and rot very fast in contact with water!)
3. have an effect on mobspawning (mobs should not be able to spawn on healthy thatch
4. (idea) have silverfish have a chance to pop out of rotten thatch
5. more refined loottable (it literally just drops 1 stick rn lol)
6. custom sounds?
@reesericci0:shipitparrot::oblong: OBLONG SHIIIIIIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP :oblong::shipitparrot:
The admin dashboard for Obl.ong, a free subdomain service (i.e. reese.obl.ong), has been completed and users are being onboarded! You can claim your domain today! It has a fully-featured DNS management panel, with more features like email forwards and PURLs coming soon!!
Go to obl.ong and join the waitlist!
All the code for the admin panel and is fully AGPL open source at github.com/obl-ong/admin.
This is really meaningful for me to finally see this be shippable, and me and @m04 have been working on this for some time now.
(p.s don't tell anyone but just go to admin.obl.ong and sign up :P)
@sampoder0Dev & I went to a laser cutting class at the Generator! We met a guy who was learning to laser cut coconuts
@ImDeet-U045B4BQ2T00Day 12 daily figma, created a fun Home Screen for Trivia Travel just a fun game idea I had Gpt come up with, where you answer questions based on where your traveling. Based the UI around the Home Screen for trivia crack@Cheru0wahoo!!
this uses a Go server running on my computer, which interfaces with the arduino to get nunchuck data (pings the arduino, which returns binary data via serial), & as a proof of concept runs an http server which is being called by a lil html/js app to display joystick position@ImDeet-U045B4BQ2T00Never used Figma before, going to start 30 minutes a day to try to learn more :ac--villager-roald:@Ruien0My first 🚢! HackBackBetter, my hackathon, ran on the 22nd and 23rd of April (last weekend) and was pretty successful! We raised $6.2k in sponsorship from various companies with an incredibly easy experience thanks to Bank (poggers), had 40 out of our 90-100 registered attendees actually show up, and had 10 submitted projects, ranging from games to enterprise software to just straight up something nicknamed "uber but for trash"! Check out some pics below!!!!!! 🎉 🎉 🎉

@ian0today I set up openvpn on linode! I’m using nextdns to block ads, and so far it’s running smoothly
@kyle0Also first ship! "Quickly" made a website for our club before the school year starts, Sep 6 my fellow NYC HS students, set up the domain with cloudflare while not breaking google workspace. Simple.css was used, might rebuilt it in the future with something cooler. Some changes still need to be made but it is more or less ready for our first year of hack club at edison.
